The Central Bank issued silver commemorative coins, dedicated to the 135th anniversary (1875 – 2010) of the national press, into circulation in 2010.
The commemorative coins were minted at the “Austrian Mint” of Austria.
The face of the coin depicts the portrait of the great publicist Hasan bay Zardabi, the back presents the stylistic (graphical) image of the map of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The name and lifetime of the publicist are depicted around the portrait. The release date of the coin – ‘2010’, the words “The Republic of Azerbaijan” and the nominal of the coin are depicted around the map.
The commemorative coin is a legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
