In 2021 the Central Bank issued to circulation a silver commemorative coin dedicated to the district of Jabrail liberated from the armenian occupation during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020 under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the weight 1 troy ounce and 5 AZN face value.

The coin was minted at ‘The Royal Mint’ of Great Britain on proof-based technology.

The face of the commemorative coin depicts the images of the Khudafarin’s bridge – the example of ancient architecture, the ancient Oriental plane and leaves, one of the main symbols of the region, the pearls of the flora of Azerbaijan; the words ‘8 November’ victory history, the Khari Bulbul, that has become the symbol of victory at the Patriotic War, as well as the words ‘Jabrail’ and ‘Karabakh is Azerbaijan’ as the main design elements, while the back of the coin depicts the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 8-pointed stars, the words ‘the Republic of Azerbaijan’ and denomination of the coin.

The commemorative coin is a legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan at its face value.
