The Central Bank released commemorative coins in 2015 with respect to the 90th anniversary of establishment of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which has an ancient history, rich culture and an important role in the development of the Azerbaijani statehood.
The commemorative coins were minted at the “Royal Mint” of Great Britain.
The face of the coin depicts the images of Momina Khatun tomb and Ilahdagh situated in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, the back presents the image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The commemorative coin is a legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
