An agreement on the Trans-Anadolu natural gas pipe line system (TANAP) was signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey in Istanbul on June 26, 2012. The Central Bank issued silver commemorative coins into circulation to perpetuate this historic event.
The commemorative coins were minted at the “Royal Mint” of Great Britain.
The face of the coin depicts the logo of “TANAP” and the map of the pipeline route, the back presents the national emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
